I have it plugged in and ran Disk Utility first aid this morning and it worked and I was able to mount it and recover about 40 gigs of stuff before it. Finally last night the drive wouldnt mount anymore. Fell once off my bed and has been turning on and off the last week while connected. Ive had it for less than a year and its almost dead. Internal 9pin USB 2.0 x4 multiplier breakout board, Ultra Slim ODD etc. Recovering files from a WD Passport Ultra for Mac. All drivers are up to date in addition to (chipset drivers Version 3.10.22.706) Asus Official site. Only 91 degreesF temp, difference is when rebooting "caution" health status reverts back to "100%Good"(Only for WD) until gaming then steam crashes error returns rinse and repeat. Within one hour of use same exact errors occurred. CrystalDiskInfo reports "caution" "Health Status" "Available Spare", so I bought a new WD blue 500gb SN570 NVMe SSD. Drive physically needs to be reinstalled after it disconnects. Runs about 109 degreesF underload, OS is not installed on it. Hello, I have a 500gb 970Evo NVMe M.2 SSD (2280) constantly disconnecting, I've switched slots & wiped drive many times.
